Exhaust Question & MIJ Performance

Post by evo666 » Sat Jul 12, 2008 7:13 pm

Hi Guys,

I am interested in Feedback on Options for Exhausts !

I have looked at various ie Milltek, Tubi & Haywood and Scott.
Now I have found MIJ Performance in Walsall - They will make a System to your Spec - Has anyone used Them for an Exhaust ?

Also anyone changed to Sports Cats ?

I will probably go Non Valved Resonated !

Any thoughts or experience would be appreciated.

M

MIJ fitted a full system including 100 cell sports cats. Very good service. They will discuss your needs and fettle the system to suit your needs. They are also very competitive. My system was nearly £1000 cheaper than what miltek wanted.

Got from cat back on my S4 from MIJ, took quite a while too do it, thankfully Doug was still working at MRC on the way back so got a custom map done at the same time.

At some point im going to get someone to film me from standstill booting it up the road, it'd give you an idea of the noise.

Did you hear the resonance drone on that up to 1500 rpm though?!!?

Not for me thanks, sounds great at the business end but tootling round town that would do your head in.

TBH there would be very few times that you'd be pootling along at 1500rpm

YOu would be surprised, speaking from experience on having a B6 S4 that had exact same issue. It sounded awesome but when you are cruising in 3rd or 4th at 30 it is really disconcerting.
