Whatever suits you and mbelle. Anytime after 11.30 is fine with me, thinking Grangefield Industrial Estate would be a good meeting place as its dead easy to find and my work is there. Two pubs 10 metres apart for refreshments quite handy. Hoping my supersprint exhaust will have arrived so you can have a nosey, probably ages before i get around to actually getting it on the car!

I'm quite easy - I know Leeds a little, particularly coming off the M621 nr City Centre/Armley (although Armley probably isn't a good area to meet)...

Sorry I didn't make this lads (well, I did, but 3 hours too late), but problems between me and the missus were the cause...

Hope you had fun...?

Can someone please elaborate on the N75 and After-run pump mod - what exactly are these two things about ?

the after run pump is an auxillary electric water pump and an aux fanbehind the radiator. these are switched by a temp sensor which sits in the water line down the back of the engine. when the engine is turned off and the engine is still at a certain temperature the switch cuts the pump and fan in for 10 mins to get rid of the heat as water is circulated round the engine and turbos, the mod is just another switch with a lower temp switch on or you can do what i did and disconnect the switch and connect the 2 wires together . this cuts the fan and pump in every time the engine is turned off regardless of temp or how long its been running for 10 mins. the n75 is a valve which is controlled by the ecu which dictates how much boost the turbos produce :thumb:

Thanks Jimbo
Where is the N75 located - is it difficult to get at?

Will the VAGCOM detect if the after-run pump, fan, and associated sensors and switches are functioning, or is it one of those things that deteriorates without detection by VAGCOM?

No symptoms Flashyq, but bought mine 12 mths ago with 74kms and went through the exercise of changing O2 sensors (all 4), MAF, and DVs, pressure test, a few vacuum hoses that had deteriorated.

I simply thought I saw something in this thread that I may have missed (like the N75), and first time I heard of the after-run factory equipment - they really didn't leave anything out on these cars !! ... and a better solution than turbo timers too.

Can you tell me if the N75 deteriorates over time without detection by VAGCOM??
