Fontain's vs mainstraem stealers

Looking at changing my B5 for a B7 Avant, been floating round here fairly regularly for a year, so fairly familiar with issues surrounding both models, incl most recent impact of fuel costs etc....Poole Audi have a car I'm interested in, as do Fontain's (both black Avants).

Is anyone aware of any issues associated with buying from an independent like Fontain's as opposed to a main stream dealer? Both cars that I've been looking at have 18 months (ish) left on their warantees.

Lastly, curious to know if anyone sold their Black Avants to either garage so I can get an idea of the money they are looking to make out of me....and any inherent issues with either car.

I bought my RS4 off them in January and found them good to deal with. Touch wood so far car has been fine...

lol.....I bought my car from them in December.......i cant say alot without coming across as slanderous, but me saying that speaks volumes in itself!

My advice to you, is make sure you take a PROPER good look at it first!

bought ours a yea past December....

agree with Jeansy.... the list of defects on the car read like a roll call even though they where just little things that SHOULD have been picked up in any P.D.I

Fontain conferred with my local dealer up here to rectify the snags.

Been DELIGHTED with the car since.

Bought two cars from Fontain B5 & B7 never had a issue with either car. I had done my homework prior to buying the B5 and heard some very good reports about them. Jeansy ,surprised to hear you had a problem with them?
