Tyre Pressures + Engine Coolant

Post by gw007 » Tue Jun 10, 2008 3:18 pm

Been a while since I've been on here, but need to check a few things out on the car and not being the most mechanical of people (computers, etc fine... cars, not so good) I could do with some advice.

1) Tyre pressure warning indicator has come on (yellow one) and need to check and top up the tyre pressures. However, checking the label gives readings for 255/35 R19 XL and 255/35 R19 XL M+S... now I have no idea what the M+S stands for? I have the original Pirelli P-Zeros on and its only 1psi difference between the two (for standard loading) but not sure which to set...

2) The engine coolant is just above the minimum level, there doesnt appear to be any leaks anywhere and appears to just need topping up. The manual is a bit vague on what goes in, but am I correct in thinking its just water + anti-freeze additive G12+?

Thanks!

M+S = Mud + Snow = special winter tyres, which are not used in the UK so you can ignore those entries on the label.

Neat G12 is what you should top up the coolant with.
