275/30 works a treat , would like to know if anyone has tried 285/30 , these would give the exact same dia as the original OEM but might foul somewhere, but some cars have been fitted with 10mm spacers and 275/30 , so itn´t that similar to 285/30 with no spacer in respect to space inside the wheel well??

As for scrubbing, I have none on my saloon, and I have SS+, but as you say, the Avant may have different shaped arch..?
I have just tried them but they dont reccomend using the 275 30 profile tyre on the RS4 :!: they even said that i should check with my insurance company before fitting them :?:
I've just got back from Micheldever having had 4 Goodyear Asymmetricals 275/30 R19 96Y XL fitted - and they were proud how many they have sold to members on here! No mention of any concerns at all...

Price has gone up slightly to £726 for 4 - still better than the quote I got for Michelin PS2s in 255/35 R 19 96Y XL which was £1020!!!
Is that their fitted price? The prices are going up on these tyres everywhere. They shot up by about £30 per corner on Blackcircles yesterday. Getting mine done at Elitedirect tomorrow morning for £182.07 per corner fitted. :D

I'm getting some fitted on Wednesday so I was about to ask about pressures. What sort of driving do you guys do? Have you tried a few different pressures to get to there?

Seems like the price is going up even more. Black Circles now has these listed at £198 each, fitted.

Nice one, in the end the finish price of mine was £769 fitted so happy with that. Was going the Micheldever route as they're far closer but when i called they quoted higher prices so took the drive to Essex instead.

TBH i think these tyres not only appear to perform well, but they look good on the wheel with the slightly lower profile & extended width. No idea how much they'll cost come next replacement given the rises last week.

Elite is an amzing outfit & a great attention to detail which is nice & a great change from the regular tyre places. They stated 34 all round as the correct psi, but i'm not convinced. Does anyone have a definative answer as naturally the door sill guide only covers 255/35.

Strange? - that's the price Micheldever quoted me both on the net and by phone on Wednesday, and what they actually charged me on Friday too.

Second that, plus already I've noticed less road noise and a better ride despite them being 30 profile instead of 35.

Micheldever recommended 36 all round for normally loaded and 40 all round for fully loaded. I'm running 36 all round (must remember to re-code the TPMS to match that...) at the moment.

apologies if this has been already covered somewhere,
the michelin ps2's at costco tyre centre work out £202 per corner fitted, its the best price i could find for these tyres.
and yes you do need to be a member of costco which luckily the girlfriends father kindly lent me his membership card.
:)

I think i'll up mine from 34 to 36 as that sounds more realistic.

Forgot the re-set of the TPMS  & had been running 38 on the P-Zeros so got the tire warning almost straight away. At least i know they re-fitted the sensors

On that, is the TPMS on the RS4 meant to state on which tyre the problem is? as i'm sure mine just displayed the tyre symbol in yellow & no more detail.

No, you just get a warning that a tyre has a problem - but not which one. You have to use the "mark 1 eyeball" for that!

Costco have a voucher on just now which knocks about £80 off 18" or above if you buy all 4 - they only do Michelins though.......

I've been running 40/38 since having mine fitted in Jan. I've started to notice a bit of wear on the nearside front which I put down to living near so many roundabouts.

What’s the general rule of thumb with swapping tyres round - front to back and no opposites?

I can see no reason why a front to back would not be perfectly OK. The fronts do appear to wear quicker so i'd say a 7-10K mile swap over would give a few extra thousand miles life.
