I had one shock replaced by Wayside Milton Keynes several weeks ago. The knocking noise is still there, so when I was at APS on Monday they put it on the ramp. Surprise surprise, the new shock is leaking!!! Called Audi and shouted and got the usual run around. Car is going back after the bank holiday. I may push for an extended warranty due to my concerns.

Can someone who has had a leaky shock post a picture of the actual shock so that I can compare notes to see if my shocks are leaking....
I posted pics of mine a couple of pages back that have just been replaced.

Dom, isn't it common practice that a PAIR of shock are replaced if one leaks?

Mine also said they will be replacing just the one leaked shock and the valve. What is this valve? is it to do with the DRC system or the shock?
Parts are in but waiting for the tool which should arrive shortly. Is there a TSB to say they need to replace both at the same time if one is leaked?

By the ways fellas, is it "dangerous" to drive the car on the track with one minor leaked shock or is it just a case of not getting the ideal handling which might affect lap time? not that I'll be doing any timing. Thanks.

I had 2 minor leaks in mine, Front Left and rear right. Something didnt feel right but was going flat out on the track before hand. I was running on full slicks so just compounded the issue. I dare say mine had been like that for a while but didnt notice any issue on the road or on semi slicks so you should be ok. Try it out just dont go 110%. And go to a nice safe track where theres no spots that could catch you out. I think Easter Creek looks alright but never been there. BTW I was in Sydney the last few weeks should of caught up.

Just fittted the Ohlins suspension from Stasis so will be out on the track this weekend. Despite the sping rates being increased by over 100% from standard the ride is plush compared to that standard ride.

Thanks Lancia, do let us know if you're in Sydney again. I think you'll be impressed with Sykotoy's RS4 set up. Mine is all stock but will have the Goodyear F1 AS 275/30/19 on after the track day. Got from Tyre Rack and saved over $1000AUD too. Got a track day with Events O'Neill next Thursday at EC and really looking forward to it and by the sound of things, my shock won't be replaced before then. We met up with RS4Molar when he came down from Townsville.
