Having had numerous cars over the years including 4 Lotuses - the last one being an Exige Cup 240 I got bored of leaving the "fun" car sat in the garage everytime went anywhere with the wife and 5 year old daughter so got out of the company car scheme, sold the Lotus and bought a 6 month old RS4 in Graphite which fits the bill !!

I'm involved in organising trackdays (if you're interested in Lotus' have a look herehttp://www.lotus-on-track.com/ or here http://www.elisetrophy.com/LoTRDC for the race series) for a hobby so second day of ownership = Donington GP circuit and whilst it's no Exige I cannot wait for the first really wet day as I think I might have some fun with my fellow club members !! :D

Been lurking here for a few weeks since then so thought I'd say hello :greyrs4:

Always do - been actually doing 15-20 trackdays a year (plus attending many more when organising) for last 3/4 years but will cut that down a bit as not sure I fancy the cost of the consumables compared to the Lotus'.

You and me both mate. RS4 is gone. Can't think of anything else that can stir the blood in the same vein for £20K less. Gotta be an Exige S.....in Aspen White. Yummy/.

Hahahaha, you test drove one to. Then again went out to get some salt for the Pool and get lunch all of which would turn into a contourtion act just to achieve. Had some good offers from Lotus dealers. Only problem is my wife normally puts up with this sort of thing but have never gotten a more definite no from her. So putting some decent suspension in the RS4 and go from there. Atleast I have a new goal now. An RS4 and Exige S in the garage. Then again if Im going to do that maybe an Ultima GTR.

The last one I had was supercharged Exige Cup 240 and is superb car - problem for me is 5 year old daughter and the fact that everytime we went anywhere I was stuck in the company car as too few seats in the Lotus and wanted to drive something fun all the time. So binned the company car and sold the Exige to get the RS4 - will get another Lotus when the share prices go back up again and I've actually got some savings !

I didn't know Gav and Martin were old boys - will see them at Brands next weekend so will pick their brains - if anyone wants some track time in an Exige S (or anything Lotus) as a pax then shout and I'll sort it at one of our Lotus On Track days.

Thanks
