FWIW, some are fitted with different (aftermarket) trackers.

As people have said, you'd have to phone Tracker themselves. I've had it twice and never known where it's fitted. You're not supposed to know yourself so that you can't be forced to reveal it. Each model of car usually has a few predetermined positions that they select from though.

tracker

Was told they were fitted as standard to all RS6`s. When i insured mine was told i needed a tracker @ £500.00, so looked through the Audi bumph in the service wallet and found a Tracker card, rung tracker and they confirmed it was fitted from new and charged me £30.00 to transfer the contract. Insurance wanted to see the certificate with my name and reg on or i wasnt covered for thieft, nice!

They weren't fitted to all RS6s – but could have been.

The Tracker Retrieve was a free-of-charge option when originally speccing the car. An on-the-ball salesmen should therefore have recommended it!

phoned tracker several times today, initially couldn't get thru and then when i did it was just an answering machine. Left my number but no one called me back so I emailed them at the end of the day. Got this back straight away:

Thank you for emailing TRACKER Customer Services team.

Due to a recent high volume of enquiries, our current response time is a little longer than usual.

Please bear with us during this busy time, we will reply to you as soon as possible.

Sounds like they're busy!

I had a load of trouble getting through to them when I had to renew a couple of months back. Since I couldn't sit with a phone all day it eventually took me nearly a week! Bad service really, but I know from experience that they're a lot quicker to answer the phone on the emergency line.

Tracker finally got back to me today - almost a month after first contacting them and chasing twice...

Turns out my RS6 is fitted with Tracker Retrieve so I took out a sub. :)

Where on the V5 is the bit about the tracker? Either I am going blind or it doesn't say. My '6 does have tracker as I rang them up, changed my name over and paid the subscription when I bought the car last year.

I've just got my V5 back after buying the car at the end of Feb and can't see any mention of Tracker on it.
