All good for the drive into the office this morning, over 3 large speed humps. Even lost an annoying rattle in the car now so that's a big bonus. No knocking at full lock coming off driveway & no noise over the lumps/bumps.

Paul, you may have answered this in already but how long were you waiting for the shocks to arrive?

Chris, no wait whatsoever.

Car went into the dealers on Thursday AM, they spotted the fault, ordered the shocks & valves, these arrived Friday AM & were fitted on Fri or Mon (they had my car until yesterday AM as i was on vacation from Thur PM to Wed PM).

I did try to force the diagnol replace issue, but they said this was not required on the RS4 (not sure how true) & they had the re-chrage equipment so charged all 4 shocks up to 15bar.

Excellent, sounds like a decent turn-around. I also have a bunch of speed bumps to go over at the office, kinda makes coming to work even more annoying than normal...

Get the car sent to Camberley Audi then, as the parts are available, as is the kit required to fix.

Is there a reason they didn't just had the car back to you till the parts arrived? I've had assurances that mine is safe to drive and they'll book me back in once the parts turn up.

Look at KW suspension. I know alot about bike suspension as I raced for a few years and still do trackdays on two wheels !

The KW seems to be a superion product as you have adjustment 3 ways preload / ride height. Compression and Rebound. This is important dependng on driving. They are also SSteel so wont corrode on our salty roads.

Mine is in on Wed at West Tuning Thruxton to be done and forgotten about. When I do my Ring Trip I can set it when there for a few days of fun and then change it back to put 3 kids and the dog in the boot !

I have an 03 RS6 Avant, Milltek, West tuned 515 brake allegedly !
RS6 C5 05 plate very tidy.
Past.... Only have 500 characters ! RR Sport X 2 Nice but boring RS6 C5 03 Sold due to losing 25K of value in 12 months of ownership !
Still have a 72 GT6 and a few Big Bikes....

My thoughts were if there is a knocking noise what other damage might this cause, so I didnt want it back until it was fixed. These cars cost to much money to mess with issues such as this....thats what the warranty is for

Been following this with interest. My Rs6 Avant was off the road for 3 months a few years back with DRC valve problems. Bought an Rs4 Avant Oct 2006 as I understood Audi had solved the suspension problems. Now I find all these problems you are getting that are just the ones I had several years ago. So have acted quickly and I am out of Audi for good and have sold it. Sad to see it go but a car is no use to me if it is likely to have a problem that the dealers are unable to sort.
