Nogaro S4 detailed

Post by SJS » Sun Nov 25, 2007 12:37 am

Hi all, just a few pics of a Nogaro Blue S4 which has recently been fully de swirled and coated with Collinite 915.

Looking good, will see how long the Collinite lasts on a car that spends most of its life outside!

Cheers!

I really need to seal mine very soon! The winter has certainly set in, and like yours mine is outside most of the time, and whatever the weather

How did you get on with de-swirling it? What products did you use?

Good results none the less.

The de-swirling is a long process! I had good results with Megs 83, Poorboys ssr2.5 and Menzerna IP, they all seemed to work well on either the Megs cutting pad or polishing pad.

The Audi paint is pretty tough and with a 7yr old car there is always going to be a few deeper marks that wont polish out. Compared to what it was like previously, it is much much better, probably 80% corrected.

All of the above is what I had in mind.

I will be trying out some Poorboys ssr2.5 on my Nogaro RS.

I can already see marks on my car now, which I think will not be removeable, but like you say 80% of the car should be do-able.

For any beading fanatics out there i took a few pictures of the car this morning after a light shower of rain overnight.

Will be interesting to compare these with a similar shot after a month or two and see just how durable this wax is when the car sits outside in the winter elements most of the time.

cheers

Excellent!

Forgot to ask, did you use a Porter Cable for most of your applications?

Nope, picked up one of these a few months ago for £40

Great job indeed, maybe a bit heavier than a PC but slightly more powerful and a 3yr warranty...cant be bad to that.
