Has anyone driven the S4 demo cars at Listers?

That's the ones with the 'preformance pack'...

I was tempted, but I'm not prepared to spend £45k on a test car. Did think about offering them £40k for the black one. Do you think they'd let me have it for that

Sure Tony.

Drove the S4 avant at Listers with the full Stage 3 kit. AMD remap/Mliteks/Racing cats, said to offer 400+ bhp. The acceleration in 3rd and 4th is in a different league to the std car which I feel-after driving 2 examples-to be lacking in real V8 torque/grunt. The S4 engine as std is just too safe and too restricted I feel.

Basically the upgrade gives the S4 the character I for one feel it really lacks. The sound is awesome and I think it would give an RS6 a run for it's money on a lot of roads. It's not too big a car and felt good on the b roads at 40-70 when being really leaned on. Felt that the brakes were only just up to the performance, so an upgrade might be good.

For me the only downsides are 1. Handling-still not a pure drivers car IMO, next a M3 2. Fuel economy-at best 20mpg but day to day if you tank it you're looking at 15-17 at best I think.

Have to also give credit to Listers as well. Very, very impressed with the service and attitude to the cars and the performance minded customer.

Well worth a trip to Stratford for a little jaunt

Sounds good Gareth and I'm almost tempted...

...but the memory of unemployement is still fresh in my mind so I need to keep my money in the bank for now!

Hi Tony, welcome to RS246.com
Can you give us some experience of what it's like to own the new V8 S4? I believe you are the first owner to visit us.

Does Miltek and AMD have announced what their exhaust and ECU remap will go for?
