Stupidly assumed the repeat would start at 8.00pm, so missed 99.9% of the programme. Shame, I would like to have seen Stig + R8.

Only slightly off topic - I watched a repeat of the episode (while in the States) when they went to the US to each buy a car for less than $1,000 and then face a few challenges as they drove from Florida to Texas (through Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana) - hilarious, and a bit risque, but even the Americans thought it was funny...

i'm sure they've edited bits out of that one, i could have sworn the first time i watched it they had to finish filming in the petrol station with camera phones as the film crew ran away after being stoned (or was it me that was stoned and dreamt it?)

i'm not convinced, they also showed a clip of them cleaning the graffiti off their cars which seems to be missing from the current version

Yea, that was there too Dave - so it seems that the UK repeat has been edited (with bits chopped out) and the US repeat version is still in its original form
