Lexus IS-F
LSF
Apparently the engine is very very good, they did some days for the DPs which included, RS4, M3 and 997. It performed really well. The problem is it looks like its got a halfords body kit and exhausts and will probably be about £50k but with a much better spec. With limited numbers coming to the UK in 2008 they shouldnt have too much trouble shifting them at £50k. If they up production and with M3's (E92) not holding their value at all they may have problems going forward. If you view them as a fast lexus for a fat american then there are no issues for a car like this. If you want a hard core competitor for the Audi and the BMW then it may be found wanting

RE: LSF
It might be just the car for the Brits then. Saw on the news recently that the Brits are the most obese/alcoholic of all the Europeans and that some counties were "beating" the US average for obesety.

And there are plenty more. Might want to go easy on the fish and chips there and stick to tea and cucumber sandwiches.

I can't deny there's a bunch of fatties over here, but not one of those links says anything about the UK being worse than the US. And where do you get the alchoholics bit from? We, unlike the French, Spanish, Italians, etc, recognise when we're drinking too much and the media jumps on it. Its just accepted on the mainland. And how about smoking?????RussianM3_dude wrote:http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/a ... ge_id=1798rAudiguy wrote:Do you believe everything you read???! Edit: This is getting a little off topic and totally pointless. Needless to say, the Russians are probably the most alchoholic nation in the world. Vodka anyone?

I read somewhere that the IS-F engine was very advanced, and had titainium valves as well as direct injection and twin veriable valve control, that's as advanced as you can get today, BM & audi do not have titanium valves do they?.
Use this link and click technology/engine.

Yeah I believe I heard that too John, what you have to remember is Toyota who of course fund Lexus are so rich a plum millions into developing and using the latest technology. My dad has a LS460 which I believe is the same lump and it's an amazing engine and car. I just think the Lexus lack caracter and that individual feel that you get from German cars. Of course that stands for most japanese cars not just Lexus. Will be interested to see it and drive it though. If it really is £32k then it's a bargain!!I read somewhere that the IS-F engine was very advanced, and had titainium valves as well as direct injection and twin veriable valve control, that's as advanced as you can get today, BM & audi do not have titanium valves do they?.

I am not here to edumacate anybody. All I am saying is that the "fat American" stereotype is played out soon Britain will also get "US spec" cars, with huge seats to cater to British bums and wallowy suspension to cater to British roads.ChrisRS4 wrote:I can't deny there's a bunch of fatties over here, but not one of those links says anything about the UK being worse than the US. We already get US spec cars, fortunately most sensible Brits don't buy them. Personally I find the RS6 seats too big.
P.s. Sorry for the OT.
