I have the Brembo GT kit on my S3 and it's very good, and fits under the standard 17" wheels

I'm having a new set of standard disks with Mintex extreme pads fitted next week on the front.

As far as i'm aware the brake thing goes like this on a budget black diamond groved discs with ferrodo ds2500 (i used to have). Brembo gt kit (i currently have) not so much on a budget. The budget set up is miles better than standard but the brembo set up is excellent with no brake fade even when pushed very hard. One of the best mods you can do for the money in my opinion.

The calipers from the Brembo GT kit are identical to those off a Mk1 Seat Leon Cupra R. So if you can find one of those in the scrapper you can get the discs, pads, hoses, calipers and mounting brackets from the Leon and that will give you the equivalent of a GT kit.

Worth keeping an eye on eBay - I got my GT kit off there about 18 months ago for £400 (i.e. less than half new price).

ECS probably have the biggest selection of big brake upgrades for VAG cars. Everything from Boxter calipers to 6 pot Ceyenne ones.

However, the best performance is probably from something that's more matched to the master cylinder - that's why the Brembo GT is the best kit for the S3. Its also lighter than the bigger Porsche based kits, so there's less unsprung weight.

Not without the correct sized caliper carriers, and matching discs. The calipers may work out cheap, but there's potential for high cost and hassel getting them set-up.

Hi new to the forum, and just acquired a 52 plate s3. Would rs4 calipers and discs fit, on my s3 with 18" alloys.
thanks

The RS4 discs are 5x112mm where as your S3 is 5x100mm pcd.....
Just can't get the smile off my face......
