Yes you can feel the difference, the main reason being the throttle bodies only opened 50-60% in gears 1-3 below 5500 rpm and the remap allows 100% throttle in these gears at any RPM.

Im happy with the remap because its made the engine more flexible in that the cold max rpm is now set lower, the throttle bodies are open 100% of the time, the speed limiter has been set to what i want, Hp and Torque are improved through cam/timing adjustments and not overfuelling, the exhaust flaps are open 100% of the time in Sport mode and it only cost 990 euros.
Oh and Jeroen upgraded the software version to the latest one (that being 80 at the ime) FOC.

interesting indeed. I had mine upgraded with new software at my dealer (indeed its 0080).

what was the difference in power and torque beofre and after, the ideal would be to have the power/torque plots... could you send them to youry@rsquattro.com

1st map is 3rd and 5th gear plots before and after.

Light Blue is 3rd gear Pre Remap.
Dark Blue is 3rd gear Post Remap.
Green is 5th gear Pre Remap.
Red is 5th gear Post Remap.

The 2nd map is 5th gear before the remap.
The 3rd map is 5th gear after the remap.

Will email you them also.

Thanks, I got them. that was quick.

Living in belgium that is not far for me. pricing is reasonable (for a change). i wonder why AUDI is constraining so much the engine in lower gears....

I think a well run in standard RS4 can expect to do 0 - 60 in 4.6 secs. The factory figures are usually conservative with Audi's and I am pretty sure that the detailed Autocar road test achieved 4.6 secs (top speed 163mph as I remember. If I had not lost the issue I would give the 0-100 time etc.

Same air filter.

I dont believe after market filters flow better than stock items (when the stock item is new /clean) and im not wanting to replace the MAF just yet.

Turbo,

do you know about ch.211 ( Adv. meas. VAG-COM) ? it's very interesting... is it possible for you to make a 3rd gear launch and log that channel ?
g/s measured, g/s expected, MAF Ratio, intake abs. pressure
i think it's a good way to evaluate tuners job :)

I found this log for g/s measured. 1st column RPM, 2nd Std RS4 3rd Gear,3rd Remapped 3rd Gear.

RPM MAF(Std) (after remap) g/s

7160 141.72.. 151.22
7240 142.86
7360 _______ 152.5
7720 149.31.. 158.47
8080 _______ 170.36

A/F Ration is spot on.
Leans out off load.
Under load Actual and Specified are the Same at 0.88 throughout.

NZ Autocar managed 0-62 in 4.62s on a stock RS4 - very quick...

Interestingly they could only manage 4.95s in the new M3...

My RS4 has also been remaped by JD!

Very happy with the results ! initialy 394HP and 430 of torque. Sedan RS4 10000km unleaded fuel 98. Would have about 8HP more with shell V power 100

t urbo: do you have a special full exhaust system ?

WOW that must feel a lot different, and in my opinion would be worth the upgrade, so does this put extra strain on the clutch?

Have they removed the 155mph limiter?
Money can't buy you love, but it can buy you a well sorted racecar

I dont see how it will put any extra strain on the clutch, if you launch the car above 5500 rpm then you have full throttle even without the remap. The extra 20 ish HP you gain overall is unlikely to have any major effect on it either.

I have done over 30 standing starts measuring times and stuff and its still hanging in there.

They will set the limiter to any speed you want. Mines set at just over 200 mph.
