Perhaps you are driving a 3.2 A4!! :jump:

My RS4 feels plenty quicker than the e46 m3 I had before.

Mine now has 15k on it and it's a monster!!

2nd gear is spectacularly fast and by the time it hits 75mph I've left most things behind - like 996's, sti Imprezas etc. I'm surprised that some people feel it lacks torque. I've got my first service due and I expect the ECU upgrade will make a difference and as soon as i get it home, I'll be under it to do the 'exhaust valve disconnection trick'.

I agree that it took 5k to loosen up.

I'm doing the Audi track day at Silverstone in 6 weeks time (courtesy of Audi as compensation for screwing my order up!!) which apparently will include the new TT, the S6 and the RS4. I can't wait to drive it in anger withour having to consider oncoming traffic... I'll report back as to whether the Silverstone version feels any different to mine - I expect they will have the sports suspension on it.

Perhaps there are some 'dull' versions out there - or drivers who confuse the lack of turbo-kick with poor acceleration

One could be forgiven for thinking you might actually not have an RS4 at all given the comments you make, or maybe the cars imported into Russia have had a bank of cylinders removed. certainly know my car would and has blitzed a 330. The power delivery of UK cars is crushing and the speed in which it opens a gap to other cars including porsches is just amazing.

A 530? This guy is really taking this a bit too far with his comparisons. He'll be telling us next that he was beaten by a M3 :drink:

He does the same with the Yanks on RS6.com. He is a total wind up, if you notice he never gets wound up by anything said against him. Just ignore his post, he'll soon get the idea.

Some Russian people often have an inferiority complex and they get tricked into thinking all the get is inferior to what's available in the western countries. been there seen that and his posts don't surprise me at all...

Nah being Russia, the dealer took a standard A4 stuck a body kit on it and pretended it was an RS4 just to double the price. The buyers obviously don't know enough to tell the difference! 8)

Dunno chief, Moscow Sheremetovo airport car park is an absolute joy to drive past, there's no scrappers in there, (brand new) porkers, big mercs, bm's, audis etc. These boys know their wheels and seem to have heaps of dosh to pay for them.... The road between the terminals is a three lane race track which, believe me is well used! Out of Moscow is a whole different story though and you would not want to be driving an RS4 as you'd break your back the roads are so bad!!

I have a good friend, who is one of the best mappers in the UK. He is the founder of Revo, and has since setup a new business. He has mapped most of my cars including my 997RS and my old 996 GT2.

Once I get the RS4, will get him to plug in and see what is going on. We have a dyno connection, so will get some before and after graphs.. which I will post up.

I know you were!! :biggrin2: Without question, there are people here in russia who would sell their granny for a few roubles though. A doctored A4 is not beyond the realms of possibility, believe me!

As posted on another thread.. have spoken to Revo Mitch, he has seen 438bhp on the dyno, after some decent mapping work. As soon as I get my car will get it on the dyno for some before and after comparisons.
Will keep you all posted.

I feel for you brother. I am completely dissapointed by the acceleration of the RS4. It just doesn't feel very fast. Heck, a BMW 530 kept up pretty well with me today and I did a pretty hard launch. However I've been dissapointed in NA Porsches as well to be fair.
Is it a joke??....mine is 35000kms, and race like the M3 csl of a friend of mine from 100km/h to 250km/h, so i think you should learn how to drive...
