I was thinking this? how are they changed?? can vagcom do it, I have that but am a very novice user??

On the B5, there are toggle switches on the back of them to flick them over, but apparently they are a pain to get to (or at least one side is).
Not sure on a B7.

If they are the same as the B5 they flatten the beam when you flick the lever (not reverse it) , so you can do them any time before you go and use them in the uk and EU.

Hi,
Been reading this forum occasionally and just noticed your trip to the ring. Myself and 3 others will be there that weekend as well. Ferry out Dover-Calais then via Cologne airport to collect a couple of hire cars for the others to drive then on down Sat evening.

1st Time round with the S4, been a couple of times before, last was in a fully laden Mercedes Sprinter on the way back from a job in Frankfurt. 2 of us went round laughing our heads off all the way. Fortunately a quiet session and we kept well out of everyones way.

Hopefully catch some of you in the carpark, or bars around Nurburg, and say hi.

Can't wait

I would not mind going around in that, whats the costs? Better to book a time in advance or something??? Anyone else interested?
Got myself a lap in The Ring Taxi last year although not with Sabine :( Saying that, all the Ring Taxi drivers cane those M5's & get them drifting nicely. I hadn't booked in advance, but popped myself on the reserve list early one morning, left my mobi number & hey presto at lunchtime i got the call 8) Was sat in the back & the other pax were Germans so given it was their booking i joined all the driver commentry was in German, however the action was possibly more exciting without the dialogue.

Pot luck if you get a reserve spot, but if you've not already booked & got a slot, it's your only chance for this trip (i think).

Worth every penny though :)

Arrogant, I know, but just leave them! I've never bothered all the times I've been on the continent.
Seconded, as at no point during this trip am i likely to be on the road in the dark (unless i sneak out for an Autobahn stormer in the middle of the night), however if i do that the Autobahn would be deserted anyhow.

Never altered lights for any Euro trips to date & never had any problems.

Thanks Dave,

We are staying in the Ringhaus "Altes Forsthaus St. Hubertus" in Nurburg. No idea what it's like but they do seem very ring oriented which is good, and close.

Will you have any RS246 merchandise for sale with you by the way?

Chris
