Ash318 got a ride with a German chap (Bernd) who'd booked his Ring Taxi months in advance, he hired all three seats to be sure of a having seat and sold one to Ash.

Ash loved the paxlap but Bernd got out of the car looking very green!

They sell tickets in 6 monthly batches from memory, so when you get there, they are always sold out but you may find people selling extra ones, its happened most days I've been there. You just hang around their pavillion in the car park.

I went out in April with an American who had booked all three seats but only needed 2. It was an amazing, almost sureal, lap with the driver just chatting away while we're doing over 150MPH round corners. The lap with Lucas was probable quicker but the Ring Taxi was immense.

We're off to the 'Ring tomorrow - can't wait. Have even got a Taxi lap booked with Hans-Joachim Stuck. Was it a good experience Phil?

Never argue with an idiot, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

What's everyone doing about their headlights? I'm driving down to Dover in the night so I can't really flick them over to right hand rule of road until I get to the ferry. Then again, we'll be driving all the rest of the way in the day, so I won't have my lights on. Do you reckon I just leave it until I get there and see how it goes, or just throw some tape on them?

I carry the deflectors and would put them on if driving in the dark. Not needed them for ring trips & never got round to adjusting the Xenons.
