I dont think that you can reject the car (it is already yours) and the sale of goods act does not apply as this is not a purchase. What they have done is damaged your car and you should get suitable compensation. They should try and get the car back to as close as its original condition as possible and also compensate you for the hassle and any loss of value (although this will be difficult to argue as you have not technically suffered a financial loss until you sell the car). Still a bugger. Good luck getting it sorted.mrdeli wrote:I think once you let them go along the lines of repairing the car you lose the right to reject the car to some degree. Still a decent spray painter should be able to get a near 100% finish - still admittedly not what you want on a new 50k car!
Help! Urgent advice required
Well..... I collected the car last Saturday, and to be fair it looked fantastic, all evidence of the repair was gone - couldn't fault it, and the whole car had been buffed to remove the overspray, and then re-supaguarded.55JWB wrote:S4int,
Did this get sorted to your satisfaction?? Hope so or I might be 'rubbing salt in' bay asking...??

However, when I got home, I noticed that they hadn't done the bl00dy roof!

So I'm dropping it back down there on Friday morning and they are going to sort it out while I wait.
Cheers,
Paul.
