Proud New Owner of RS4 AVANT

Post by al_RS4 » Sat Jul 14, 2007 3:06 pm

Thought i just say hi to everyone. Got my RS4 a week ago.

RS4 Avant
Metallic Black
DVD Sat Nav
6 CD
Adaptive Headlights
Auto dip Headlights
Black Optic Pack
GSM on Dashboard
Heated Front & rear Seats
Privacy Glass
Reversible Boot Mat
Sports Suspension

Changed from a M6 and have to say that although I have not had the RS4 for long, I am certainly enjoying it more than the M6. Its the first Audi that I have owned, so far its all been positive!

Hi and welcome :) I've had mine for just over a month now and love it! My brother who also got one at the same time had the phone cradle removed from the dashboard by craigb on these forums - looks much cleaner! If you experience cold running problems (junnering under light load from cold - usually mornings) there is an ECU update to cure this. Regards Mark (ps post up some pics)

Welcome to the forum, I've had my RS4 Avant since mid March - approaching 3,000miles and it gets better and better with each passing mile, I had a 997 Carrera 4S before and the RS4 just amazes the hell out of me, cheaper by approx 25k (with options), cheaper to insure, cheaper running costs and ever bit as fast, if not faster - and of course the shear practicallity of it as well - last but by the means least, it doesnt pi** people off nearly as much when you are going hell for leather in your RS4 than it does when your behaving the same way in a Porker

Welcome & another M owner moves across to the RS4 & prefers it. At some point the sceptics will realise.

Enjoy your car.

Thanks guys. It is the first Audi that I have owned. About 5 years ago I was looking at getting either a M3 or RS4. I test drove a M3 at my local dealer. Went to the Audi dealer and was told that they did not do test drives for RS4, I either wanteed to buy it or not. Its fair to say that I told him where to put it and promtly went and got the M3. That put me off Audis for years. But the dealer I have got my RS4 off has been fine so far and the car is awesome! I too love the fact that its understated, practical but when you are in the mood for a blast its good as most. The car is new but was already sitting in the showroom, if I was speccing it myself I would have probably left a few of the options that it has off but the dealer gave me a discount so I cant complain and does look great.

Hi
Also new here and shopping for an RS4 Avant at the moment.
Did you manage any discount on your new car (or was it a used vehicle)?

I got a good discount on our deal - not in stock cars - but we we're buying two (whether that makes any difference)

Mind sharing the percentage you managed to get?

Feel free to PM me if you don't want to share.

I have negotiated a discount, but don't know if it is competitive.......
