bose head unit

Post by Mark1 » Tue Jul 10, 2007 5:12 pm

At the moment i have a 2003 S3 with the bose system in. It has the chorus casette head unit and 6 disc changer in the boot.

Can anyone tell me if you can swap the head unit to a pioneer, sony, etc and still have everything working as usual - or has bose made it uncompatible with any other unit?

Is it a case of just plug&play or is there any connectors that join the new head unit to the bose wiring?

thanks for any help you can give.

Mark

Do a search on here, I had the same question a while back. You can change the unit but need an adaptor. CarAudioDirect sell them.
