Part no requests

Post by nickb834 » Fri Apr 13, 2007 8:06 pm

I'm trying to locate some part numbers for the stock B5 RS4 brake discs.

I'm not after the VAG part numbers but rather the Brembo part no's.

AFAIK the calipers are made by Brembo, well mine have Brembo stamped / cast into the caliper body.

Is it Brembo that make the discs or someone else?

Any idea's - forum search doesn't reveal much :-(

Cheers Yorkie, but them's the VAG group no's that I'm not after :-P

I'm hoping to find out who makes them for VAG and see if can source anywhere else.

Basically, I object to paying 300+ vat for a pair of discs with only 1mm of wear each side before new ones are required....

Perhaps I'm just a tight northerner :-)

looks like my only option is the GMBH drilled disks - ah well, £300 plus vat it is then

There are 2 tools you need in life: WD-40 and Duct Tape.
If it moves and it should'nt, use the Duct Tape
If it doesn't move and it should, use the WD-40

I don't have any old ones! That's why!

Basically funds don't stretch to RS4 B7 Discs / Calipers etc etc I got a pair of B5 RS4 calipers for practically nowt and now just need disks.

Seeing as the disks don't have alot of wear in them and they ain't exactly cheap AND I'm into my first year of ownership - there's a potential for me to have to change these discs maybe twice more (do 18k miles a year - mostly cross country no motorways) over the life of the car I'll feel a bit ill knowing I spent a grand on brake discs.

It gets hard to justify RS4 disks when the stock S4 disks can be had for a ton.
