Same here! had the car just over a year and not one full on challenge (apart from our kid trying to provoke me in his clio sport!!!!)

The closest its come was on the why to the autosport show when we had a bit of play with an M3 CSL, more of a mutual respect, high speed cruise rather than a all out ding dong!!

Gents, I think we can only draw one conclusion from this....

It's not the car that attracts the nutters...maybe it's hethers!!!
(No offence intended by the way)

I have noticed how the only people to look at the car are ever really audi drivers altho i have notived TT drivers dont like to be passed on a motorway without trying to cause a multi car pile up  ,

I went to a country park last week end with the wife and my son and parked next to a ford mucas ST in orange, the car park was rammed and i had to wait for some one to leave before i could get in the space to park by the time i had got out of the car to get my son out of the child seat i noticed that every person who passed looked at the orange mucas, my car never got a second glance.

I have taken the badge off the back, anonymity...............
My god, you've noticed this too - it's sooooo true!

My lower front grille is black - sorry, and the car is green (double sorry)

Maybe it is just me then!!

Or maybe the average brummie chav spends his giro on Evo mag

Don't think I could even take the badges off though, seems such a shame

I had the same dilemma in the beginning.
However it was a shame to spoil such a
beautiful car, with so redundant things
as badges

Hethers, there was a local Goodwood Green RS4 the lower grille mesh painted silver - asking for trouble if you ask me - not seen it for a while.

I don't think it's the badges that catch peoples eyes, it's those muscular arches and gaping bumpers that show people the car means business - you may get used to seeing yours but I have only just bought mine and when I see it from the front I think 'phwoar!"

anyone tried keeping the car dirty to see if that helps with the stealth effect?

i took mine off as soon as i bought it, its the badge that confirms it for most people due to the fact there arent that many on the roads admittedly it looks a little different on the road but those in the know as said above show the mutual respect thing and those that dont pull in front of you on either motorways or dual carriageways as if to POLICE the road and slow down your progression or maybe its just the thought of the TT being held in such high asteem by their owners that they genuinely believe they are on the TT.

Infact its got to such an extent now that even my mrs "the co-driver" acts as spotter and as well as speed camera alerts and sat nav voicing its presence the mrs blurts out a "watch that TT" randomly as we potter along.

Golf drivers show huge respect and often pull over to let you pass on open motorways without challenge and i,ve had the old little finger and thumb thing that beetle dudes do in Newquay thrown against the side window with a nod of the head, have air cooled afectionados moved on to liquid cooled cars or have the GTI enthusiasts picked up on this ?

Chalky, I will watch TT's on my first trip out today!
I know plenty of water cooled dudes who are sensible enough to save their campers etc from daily use and run water cooled VW's, usually Mk2 Golf GTIs.

It sounds like TT drivers are the number 1 public enemy - I didn't realise, but I'll keep an eye out from now on for them. Do they think the TT is the top Audi marque? Oh dear!

i was half tempted to put 1.9 tdi badges on my girlfriends for a laugh... but she had a complete sense of humour failure when I mentioned it! perhaps she was worried about damaging the paint or having a diesel badge on her car again (after the EOS) FIASCO :FIREdevil:
