Terra Chaps!

Post by sitas3 » Wed Jan 03, 2007 4:45 pm

I traded my lovely Ferrari red S3 in for a splendid late-2003 BMW M3 CSL a few days before Xmas and have been away over Xmas so not had chance to post.

Had a total of three S3's now and TBH they are cracking cars however it was time for something different and a move away from Audi.

I'm certainly finding it challenging with an entertaining chassis, greasy roads and RWD compared to the safety net of 4WD.

Cheers all.

BTW I still have an SPS3 device and a used Samco turbo air intake hose if anyone wants to buy? PM for more details.

Although you've left the clan, pics are still required ;) I've considered an M3, but not CSL. A 2001 with 40k miles was still well over £20k, seemed a lot to me ....

PS Whats a climate screen?

cheers David - amended sig. will upload more pics when I take some decent ones but will upload ones from delivery day shortly. Can't really comment on used M3 prices as I'm new to the clan so to speak!

BTW climate screen is where it is gradually tinted from the top with a strong green bias at the top IIRC. That's as much as I know.

I hope you didn't let John "spin dat $hit" in your csl????

Hope it goes well and you manage to live with the lack of traction at this time of the year.

Blimey - Simon kindly let me have a spin (of da <beep>) in his CSL - what a car! I was almost giggling - havent done that in a car since a 205 1.9 GTI as a teenager - I (briefly) considered chopping the Audis in and joining him on the dark side

Wow looks awesome, i would love a CSL and it would have to be in that colour, im not suprised your being challenged by the handling on greasy roads, didnt the CSL come with a disclaimer from BMW saying the tyres were advised for dry use only!
