Can you post up your timing and boost, it would be good too see.

When I did my runs I had half a tank of Optimax. No spare wheel ( had a puncture )all 4 tyres were pretty much knackered ( not sure how much 4 or 5 mm tred size makes ) and it was only 5 to 7C

Is your car a face-lift model not sure why this would make any diff though.

DavidT was getting 4.84 I think it was before he did his turbo upgrade and I think he still had his pre-cats in.

Have you tried a 30-130 yet just to see the diff from mine to yours?

I forgot to mention that I had no spare wheel in on either occasion. Yes, car is facelift but cant imagine what difference that would make??

Bear in mind that DavidT had RS4 intercoolers and Miltek catback before his recent turbo upgrade. Yes, I believe he still had pre-cats in.

your boost is pretty much the same as mine. I have a fraction more than you in some bits but only around 0.30 bar. I have not tried logging boost now we have warmer weather. But I suspect it will be higher as the ecu tries to compensate for the hotter conditions ( less dense air )

Clive, you need to log block 003 for g/s and timing. If you need to record boost as well (doesn't appear to be neccessary with your current figures, then use block 115 - for consistency.

Now the weather has cooled down, and I've got some Tesco 99 in, I did a comparative run today (same ambient temp - 18.5C), but this time after fitting of RS4 exhaust with gutted precats.

Result : 5.69. This compares with my previous average of 5.75, which is obviously better but a bit dissapointing compared with Paulm's result of knocking a whole second off after fitting of precats (4.6)

My timing is still quite a bit higher than yours for some strange reason.

4360 rpm you 9.8 me + 2
4840 rpm you 11.3 me + 2
5320rpm you 12.8 me + 4
5720rpm you 13.8 me + 5
6120rpm you 15.8 me + 6

+ 6 degrees must make quite a bit of diff. Would the cold weather really make that much diff to timing?

Looking back even before my pre cats were done I still have around + 2-3 or so on your timing
