Oops, that should've been 1.39bar peak
Are you sure it wasn't 1.4?

Did another run in my S4 and got...

30.1 2640 104.33 100 12 29.61 2520 68.4 1780 1080
30.9 3000 172.67 100 6 30.5 2800 157.9 2290 1720
31.72 3440 187.75 100 5.3 31.3 3200 191.7 2260 2060
32.71 3960 223.17 100 4.5 32.21 3680 191.7 2210 2160
33.53 4320 232.5 100 3.8 33.13 4160 188 2160 2200
34.49 4760 247.31 100 5.3 33.96 4520 184.2 2110 2120
35.37 5080 253.97 100 5.3 34.92 4920 175.2 2050 2040
36.28 5440 259.25 100 7.5 35.81 5280 167.7 2020 2000
37.21 5760 264.33 100 9 36.74 5600 162.4 1970 1940
38.18 6080 268.72 100 12 37.7 5920 154.9 1940 1940
39.17 6360 273.08 100 12.8 38.66 6240 148.9 1940 1920
40.18 6600 277.44 100 15 39.68 6480 146.6 1940 1930
41.19 6880 281.69 100 16.5 40.67 6760 142.9 1940 1930

The last 2 columes are boost requested and actual. They look ok but the maf reading still looks high to me.

FATS time was 6.5 seconds again though obviously not so acurate with the extra channels logged. Is 6.5 seconds OK for AMD mapped with a Miltek Cat back exhaust?

Mark, 6.5 is about right for a std S4 - you should be in the region of 5.5 or less! I take it the 3rd column is the MAF reading - it does look a bit high - I've never seen one read high before, speak to Minhea at MRC and get his opinion.

Mark, your high MAF numbers come from excessive boost levels for K03 turbos, look at your timing and compare it with other cars that have posted logs, you're running 5.3 degrees advance at 4700 and 5000 RPM, this is way too low.

Basically you're running very high boost which flows lots of air, but the air is so hot and the backpressure before your turbines is so high that the engine chokes and can't produce power because it can't run decent timing advance.

Thanks Mihnea, I think that does help. So hopefully I have no boost leaks but the map is crap.

I wonder how long things will last like this... are AMD maps normally like this?

Thanks
Mark

They shouldnt be like this on an AMD chip. Although AMD run higher boost on their remaps than most other companies from what ive read on this site.

Did you just get your AMD map mate?

Car came mapped when I bought it. I'm thinking I'll do some other mods and get a remap...

This was a 'custom' AMD map that showed 320BHP.

Right guys, I've just got round to doing this as I'd like some comparative data before the next set of mods.

I achieved 5.74 and 5.76. MRC tuned stage1, ambient temp 18.5C, 3/4 tank petrol, and just me.

Thought I'd get a bit better than that, but we'll see what the trip to MRC brings tomorrow...RS4 exhaust and gutted precats going on, and maybe another little tweak of the ECU...

My first FATS run was 5.94 with an AMD map and Miltek cat back. I must get out and find some flat road that I can go both ways on... Can the pre-make so much difference??

Right, did a little run this morning and got 5.63 - this is after my trip to MRC yesterday for fitting of RS4 exhaust and gutted precats and another little tweak of the ECU. (ambient air 18C, just me plus half a tank of fuel)

I expected a little more than that but I'm running Tesco 97 at the moment (there's no 99 in Banbury) and the runs prior to these mods were with Tesco 99.

I'll do another run after I fill up with 99 again later in the week.
