Best tyres on B6 S4

Post by spikey » Wed Feb 01, 2006 3:32 pm

Just trying to spec out how much its going to cost to replace the tyres - still got a fair bit of tread but best to budget now rather than when they need replacing.

Currently fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 235/40Z18 - seem to be the most expensive Kwik-fit listed at £209 per tyre - i know kiwk fit tend to be expensive so can probably beat this price elsewhere.

Wanted to know really what everyone else is using and what is deemed the best tyre for this car - seems standard speed rating is (Y) - my current tires are rated (Z).

Thanks

There's numerous threads re tyres on this section of the forum mate, scroll back. General consensus seems to be PS2's are good, if not the best. For pricing I always try Micheldever Tyres first (based near Andover, Hampshire), and then price match/beat at local supplier. That price you've got from Kwik Fit seems extortionate though!

Micheldever do the PS2s for £164 including all valves etc. each. As of March 2006.
