Power Loss on RS4

Post by Devil » Thu Apr 06, 2006 6:44 pm

Hi,

somethimes when I push the throttle fully my RS4 does not seems to go.
It feels like maybe driving on one turbo or something.
So I checked the the fault codes. There is a fault " turbo temperature sensor 1 interuption with +".
Does anyone have had this before?

Sorry for my crappy English ( I'me from Belgium )

Its in perfect order that your RS4 not deliver all the power its possible of when one of the exhaust temperature sensor is broken. I have exchanged a couple of those sensors on RS4 and they all had full power afterwards . Just change the sensor reset the faultcode and you should be on top again! :)

Does that sensor have an effect on the power off the car? Is it easy to replace?

I changed the sensor today, the power is back .
I read the value that the sensor gave and the right somethimes gave 25° C somethimes and the left one 945° C.
So the problem really whas there.

Does anyone now where to read the values of the MAF with VAG 1551 ? and wath they should be?
