The buckets certainly seem to rob most of the rear leg room, which is going to be an issue for me too!Eurostar wrote:Family had trouble in the buckets and concerned about space in the back with a back facing baby carrier - buckets are great for me but I need flexibility as I want to drive the family on the weekend trips etc rather than have to drive the Avant 2.5TDi that my wife drives (will change this out next year for something else).
Poll: RS4 Bucket Seats or RS4 Standard Recaro Sports Seats?

Buckets for me - presumed the Recaros are the same or similar to the RS6 I had - not quite enough cornering support.
Guess it all boils down to your size - 5'8" and under 12st for me, so they are spot on even after a long drive, and also what you're used to - the Noble seats were fantastic, if a little thin on padding.

Have ordered RS4 with bucket seats and too late to change as car being built this week.
Sat in dealer demo car 2 weeks ago fitted with bucket seats Seem comfortable.
Like others I also need 'family man practicality'.
Sat in the front and got comfortable (I'm 6ft 1in) then got in the back behind the drivers seat and got in, no problem with leg room.
My wife is 5ft 6in and my son is only 4 yrs old so even with buckets, for me it's still a comfortable family saloon.

Doc, I'm 6ft and could not fit into the back (behind the drivers seat) with the drivers seat in the position I like it.dociain wrote:Have ordered RS4 with bucket seats and too late to change as car being built this week.

I suppose it just goes to show we are all different. It also shows that there will be enough people after both options in the second hand market
