Colours? Help!

Post by Sutters » Tue Mar 21, 2006 11:14 am

Right, I have the opportunity to change my cars colour, was ordered in Phantom Black but after seeing numerous Black S's I don't think it looks special enough. Daytona was my secoongd but again I am so unsure.

I am a more in your face kinda guy I guess so if i spend £50K I want the car to stand out. the Sprint Blue does it, obviously so does the red and yellow.

I just need a little help making my mind up, or some pics please.

..Ian

Ian

Got to be Imola m8. I've had 2 B5s in Imola and my B7 will be the same.
Currently driving an Avus RS6 which I purchased used so only had "current availably" with regard to colour spec. I don't have a pic of an Imola B7 but I have seen some and it looks great. All down to personal taste though.

Colour has to be the hardest thing to spec. I wanted black but thought about how hard it is to keep clean plus you see all the swirl marks. I'm not into bright colours so i opted for Daytona Grey...Love Avus and have it on my TT but think it maybe to much on the RS4

Thanks for the replies chaps, ive been on the Audi site and looked at the configurator (although not a great bench mark for actual colour).

Daytona : ok but not special enough
Phantom : ordered, car could be any model
Imola : Well Redbaron you are not far wrong, that is leary!
Misano : As I wrote its the red car that made me order the RS4, not sure if I could live with it tho
Green : enough said
Avus : a posibilty but there will be a Silver over dose on my drive way.
Sprint : the winner so far but need to see the car in the flesh
Mugello : now this colour is making a late serge..Views?

All my view, each to there own etc..

would like help still and directions for pics.

Looks like Avus, Mugello Blue and Sprint blue are my 3 horse race.

..Ian

Anyone thinking of special order colours?

I was very unimpressed with the colour choice of the RS4. Avus is nice but has been around since 2001 and sprint has been available on the S4 for a long time as well.

I think I am to late to go down that route, also if I had time it would open a can of worms and i'd be in even more of a pickle than I am in now!

Agreed about the colours, I think I may make a brash decision and regret it.

Mugello keeps popping up!

Ian,

Got mine in Mugello, and I have to say I like it - it's getting a clean tomorrow morning, so I hope to post some pictures after that.

Cheers, Mark

It quite simply wont in Mugello. Only one thing for it Ian: -

Polar White,
body coloured mirrors,
black optics,
factory smoked glass (light),
anthracite 19" rims.

Get in!

How were u able to change the colour. Mines ordered sinve Oct, dealer talked me out of Daytona, so i ordered Misano.......the demo car has come in Misano, and.............. no way. I drive an Amulet TDI at the moment and i much prefer that Red.........Misano too orange. My build week is week 14, and as of 2 weeks ago, they will not let me change colour................pretty adament too. So do I cancell and reorder an avant in Daytona, but that could be Nov !!!!!!!!!
