I always buy Optimax, but at the end of the month I'll be in Scotalnd for a week.
I've just looked at the Shell site and the nearest Shell pumps are 70 miles away in Glasgow
So which other supplier is best or are they all much the same at 97 Octane?
I'll still carry my Millers though

Paul, are you drinking the stuff as well (check your spelling )
There are BP and Esso stations that do a 98 RON, similar to Optimax. Not sure where they are in that area thought . Just trying to say, you don't have to be a slave to the yellow shell sign.

No just the beer last night, whilst watching the footie
Shell is the only place that sells 98 down here Andy.
I'll be on the banks of Loch Awe, between Inverary and Oban.

Paul,is it business or pleasure?
I'm pretty sure you will be able to get 98 RON in Oban itself, but if you must have Optimax, I think your closest garage will be near Stirling (Ah, the pleasures of living in the sticks, not! )
BTW Be prepared for a shock when you go to pay for it too

Searching on the web, the nearest SUL is 18 miles away in Lochgilphead (OK if you are going that way ).
Very much pleasure I hope, maybe we could get a meet arranged
