Eurotunnel - Poor Loading = OZ scraped - repair?

I got my C5 RS6 up and running for the first time since March so I could drive back from Holland to Hampshire.
This was my first journey in my 'new' car since (almost) everything was fixed & my first journey on eurotunnel.

I booked the 'High-Vehicle' section as the car is a little wide with the OZ Superturismo LM 9.5 x 19 ET40.

All looked good as I watch the other cars pull in with relative ease and roll on. I was the last one in the queue and didn't make it to that carriage. I was spun around, and went to anohter carriage. Turns out this was the normal carriage and I had to do a u-turn to get in so was all a bit of a f@ck around.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing, I'd now have said no and just waited.

But I managed to catch my rear wheel on the walkway as I turned into the carriage:

Eurotunnel has been helpful and 'may' pay for a replacement or repair.

My question; would you expect the whole rim to be stripped and resprayed or can this small scrape? The one place I've got a quote from wants to strip the whole wheel... which is brand new except this scrape. I prefer to have only the damaged bit repaired.

Are there wheel repairers that specialise in OZ and could easily match the Matt Graphite?

Sounds like you want a smart repair. Look up King Vehicle Damage Repair on Instagram. I’ve not used Scott yet, but his work does look impressive on Insta. He does bodywork and alloy repairs mobile.

Hope that helps.
