What’s happened to the values of C7 RS6 models during the last few months?

In December the car linked above would have been high forties if not fifty grand all week long, it’s on sale for just under forty grand with normal mileage and apparently no issues.

Interesting. I've not been watching the prices of these recently, but they are starting to become interesting price-wise.

Yeah the ad says £47,995 so I wonder how long it's been up for. I do wonder if there is a story though as mileage is good for a 2014 car and options are pretty good...why so cheap?!

Yeah, a quick look on pistonheads shows the asking prices are still generally around 50k. Not much significantly below that.

Ah, sneaky it’s £40k plus VAT.

Well for some benchmarking I bought my C7 for £70k last April and sold it in October for £64k with 19k ish miles on the clock. Was a 16 plate pretty much fully loaded.

They are holding their value surprisingly well for a car of this type.

There was a LOT of naysaying at the time when I was selling it-lots of forum members saying I’d get mid to late 50’s for it. Just goes to show Image
I only got rid of it as I couldn’t justify he monthlies. Went to an A45 AMG and in all honesty I can’t wait to come back to Audi RS. Disappointed.com!

Interesting 🤔 I’ve thought about the A45 AMG but just too small. I take it performance is ok though ???

I’ve had the A45 for 6 months now and it would take too long to list all the bad points. Basically there’s about 20 really crap things about the car and about 5 really good things. It doesn’t actually feel that quick when it’s stock and you have to spend extra money on items like pedal boxes and getting it tuned to actually make it perform like it should.
Chief villain is the drivetrain which is absolutely dog$hit. Turbo lag is pathetic as well (small engine big single turbo) and in a full fat AMG to me it’s totally unacceptable. Main issue is the A Class is wank as a platform. Compared to the 1 Series (and I imagine the A3) its a clown car.
The grip and pace is excellent though and on a B road you can make real progress. In the twists it would really give an RS6 a run for its money but on the straights it would be blown away. Whatever you do to it it’s only got a little 2 litre engine and it’s highly strung. You have to rev the nuts off it to get the performance which makes you feel like some chav boy racer.
Would I recommend one? No. It’s been a massive disappointment for me and my views have made me deeply unpopular on A45 forums (have been called a ‘hater’ and a ‘troll’ for daring to voice my opinions about their sacred car) with all the tedious fanboys on there. It’s not a terrible car but all the faults add up to really tarnish the experience and I already tried getting rid of it-numbers don’t add up yet so I have to wait. New they are (with all the right options ticked) around £52k and they are simply not worth that. Mine is a 65 plate FL and It’s now on a Stage 1 tune which has livened it up but the niggles will always be there. Paid £36k so half the price of the C7.
It’s a shame as they look very good. New one comes out next year (apparently in AMG circles it’s nicknamed ‘The Predator’ but it’s still only going to be a 2 litre engine) and I hope they sort out the issues as I can’t wait to get rid of mine. Hopefully RS3 saloon prices will have come down a bit as hats what am aiming at next (RS4 will still be too expensive).

Sounds like you need to get back in a C7 ASAP 👍

Really miss that car but it was too big and I really like the new tech in the latest Audi’s. The Comand system in the A45 is a joke and so overly complex.
C7 RS6 was hands down the best car I’ve ever owned.
Oh-and Quattro wipes the floor with 4 Matic which is basically FWD which transfers to AWD. Quattro is the Daddy.

To be fair that is the same as found in Audis of the same size like the RS3. They use the Haldex system which is all power to front wheels until they start to lose grip. The bigger Audis like the RS4 and RS6 (and the A and S too) use the Torsen system which have a normal power split of something like 60/40.

Wasn’t aware of that-in the RS6 it was pretty unflappable, in the A45 it’s good but I’m really not a fan of FWD cars. I believe X Drive is the same but with a RWD bias. For the current weather you can’t beat a Quattro on winter tyres.
