I'd say get the exhaust resonator removed (around £150-£200).

Have a search on here - every member that has had it done has been happy with it.

I had a Milltek on my car for 24 hours and sold it on here as the exhaust drone was too much for my ears!

If you question is whether to buy a valved or non-valved Milltek, then I would recommend buying the valved if you are happy to pay the premium.

I have a valved system and its nice to be able to close them and potter about or open them for a bit of drama.

My last B7 didn't have valves and was obviously louder all the time. Completely up to you really.

They will both drone though 'if' you hang about that particular RPM.

It will drone regardless of the valves, but the overall exhaust noise will be reduced inside and outside the car.

To reduce drone you would probably be best choosing a resonated, valved exhaust. Milltek do one. The centre pipes resonated and non-res are interchangeable if you decide it's too loud / not loud enough.

However... The above advise about cutting out the centre resonator on the OEM exhaust may just be the answer.

I have a non valved non res milltek and it's been on the car for 3yrs and the car is my daily, I've covered 50k miles in it and you just learn to drive around the drone that's all. It's fine and I think the car sounds epic. I've had so many comments over the years about its sound. It isn't quiet though, people hear you coming alright lol

Hi five on that toneg I've got miltek 100cel sports cats with no precats and it sounds awsome due to being a v8 burbling away unlike some cars with stupid systems on 1.8s etc that just sound stupidly loud and revoltingly hideous!!
