Parking in Brum
Parking in Brum
Hi,
Just thought I'd ask. I am due to be at Edgbaston on Saturday morning, staying overnight. Likely option is train from London, which is a pain and I would obviously like to take the RS6 !
However I am a nervous wreck when in comes to public car parks, especially overnight in a city center. Does anyone know recommend a secure parking option in Birmingham?
Cheers

Re: Parking in Brum
Probably the most secure would be the multi story carpark at Birmingham Airport, you get a numbered bay and its vehicle registration number controlled. £ Pricey though.
There is also NCP ticket & barrier controlled off airport parking that's secure, they also use Registration recognition. Taxis are available from the airport into the city centre approx 20mins. You can also get the Train in from Birmingham international to Birmingham New Street approx 10mins, then a taxi ride to Edgbaston
There is Brindley place in the centre of Birmingham ticket and barrier system in a multi story carpark, about 15min taxi ride to Edgabaston

Anywhere you park in Birmingham your car is getting nicked. Don't bother.

Re: Parking in Brum
I live in brum and my opinion would be to park at the Mailbox car park. There's always loads more cars more expensive than our RS's and its where I always park when I go into town. CCTV covering every where so safe as houses. 5 min taxi ride to edgbaston. Don't go to Brindley place car park as the curbs are high and spaces are really tight.

Virgin 1st class is a nice relaxing journey (except for this morning). And pretty quick.bobjebb wrote:Thanks all. Will look at the Mailbox or its 1st class and a full English from Euston.
Relax while watching something on your ipad and arrive stress free. Not sure they do a full english on the weekends though.

Only place I park in city centre either day or night time and never had any trouble. There's always nice toys in there aswell
