Lepsons quality

I'm getting new boots fitted this weekend and it's got me thinking about a wheel refurb. Looking at Lepsons as they have a good rep here (and I like the shadow chrome a lot). However, they have some SHOCKING reviews on the web in general, including some serious customer care issues that bother me as I'm so anal about stuff being perfect - I'm kinda worried once the work is done, if there's an issue they simply wont stand by it.
Have they gone down hill since people were recommending them or are they still ok? Failing that, anywhere else I should be considering for a refurb where I can get shadow chrome?

My experience with Lepsons was pretty good, really happy with the quality of the finish, and the packaging they sent my wheels back to me in was top notch.
They didn't score quite as highly on the customer service side of things or the duration it took to get them done.
Having said that I wouldn't hesitate to use them again, in fact, I'd be reluctant to go anywhere else

I would recommend. Wheel works in Crawley top job and first class customer service I've had six sets done there over the years and no complaints

Ross, I used mint alloys twice now, they are in silsoe so not far from you.
1st set they did for me was some rare bbs I bought, had them done gloss black and they are flawless, never been on a car since the returb, nice to look at when sat in my office lol.
2nd was just back to silver on my mini sd ready for sale, they did jet wash the car and blasted the letters off the numberplate but paid for a new plate so no drama.

Ross, Lepsons get my vote. Admittedly I leave my car there whilst the wheel set is refurb'd (shadow chrome heavy on silver) and the end result is superb. Mine are in for a quick refurb in May and boots...

I've used them twice. One to color match my HREs and again for some B7 RS wheels. I also had KDS next door finish the wheels in a sealant.
Their customer care and output were unquestionable. Furthermore, in all my years on this forum I've never read a bad word for them.
That said, I've used others and they've been just as good, just smaller outfits.

Thanks all. It's posts like this:
http://forums.m3cutters.co.uk/showthread.php?t=58606 that scare me (I appreciate it's a few years ago but it's the 'customer care' that's unlikely to have changed) It's actually a lot of money for a refurb from them - which I don't mind, as long as I get a 100% perfect finish.

Yeah but BMW drivers are frontbottoms.

Again, you make an obvious point I've overlooked.

And that post was 3 years ago and I've read that post before and I was initially looking and discounted it as there were 20 positive posts a giants it elsewhere - I've had unquestionable service and results too and who's really to know the backdrop to any story posted on a BMW forum...
My shadow chrome where impeccable...

This.
Kelly at KDS has sealed my wheels each time I've had a refurb. Worth every penny. Decontamination, Getechniq C5 wheel armour, cure and then two coats of EXO for hydrophobic properties.
Ross - this is well worth it and I'll be doing this in May with my refurb. You could wax them but it's not quite as robust as the nano sealant. To buy the C5 and EXO would be at least £80-£90 and they are £120 +VAT for a set of 4 loose.

If you looks at my post history, you'll see my old C5 at Lepsons and KDS. They did an awesome job.
