Fronts brakes...

Post by Frostie » Mon Jan 05, 2015 11:31 pm

Hi. My front brakes are totally shot... So, what are people using on their cars lately ? I did hear somewhere about using solid disks, or shall i just go for it and get genuine RS4... Also, where is the best place to get them from.

Regards,
Chris

You can use VW Phaeton W12 discs as they will fit straight on, not sure of the correct part number but I think euro car parts do them. They do have offers on aswell for genuine RS4 discs and you might get a discount if they have a promo code. You would need to check correct part numbers so that you get the correct discs, Stoke Audi have genuine discs, I bought some for £623 inc vat & delivery which isn't a bad price.
There being fitted this week with some yellow stuff pads, so can't comment on them as yet but I don't see any future problems

Just to clarify - they don't fit straight on. You'll need to swap the rotors over to your old RS4 bells then bin the brand new bells from the phaeton. But then they do go on just fine.
