Milltek lifetime warranty

Post by amanda1 » Sun Jun 22, 2014 5:04 pm

I just thought I would post this as I have seen all the neg posts about milltek not warrantying their exhausts. My ghay hairdressers mobile failed her mot on emissions............I was not happy as this car has only done 34,000 from new, but a milltek sports exhaust was fitted in 2008 by unit 20. This it seems was the source of my problem. Every single weld on the box had failed :boohoo: After contacting unit 20 to tell them as they fitted it as they are approved milltek suppliers they contacted milltek on my be half. I later received a phone call from milllek to discuss the prob. After supplying invoices, pictures and supporting evidence that I am the original owner and purchaser, I have been supplied a full new system by millek for the beemer. Most of the exhaust is now back as it as had to be made but I expect my sports cats back after being reworked midweek as they no longer supply beemer m3 e46 sport cats.
I am highly delighted with the service that I have received from milltek who I think have gone the extra mile with excellent customer service that I have received. (Lee thank you :) )
I also must thank Rhianne for her valuable help from unit 20.

Great to see some justice still in the world!
Be a bummer if it was fitted by a previous owner!

Is it my imagination or is that back box totally different from the original? Longer and the bracket isn't the same
I've finally got my head together but now my body is falling apart!

And a new fitting kit has been sent with the system as well so I look forward to seeing it on my gay hairdresser mobile sometime later this week :bigwave:
I also found out today that the life time warranty applies to this new system as well as long as I remain the original owner :biggrin3:
I will inundate you lot with piccies as soon as the exhaust is fitted :bigwave:

I also had a Milltek cat back system fitted to a beemer E46 M3 back in 2003/2004. Some weld also failed, but I didn't realise that there was a lifetime warranty with it. :bash:
I had it repaired and sold it not long after.

Well after a to do with bmw about the battery it has been replaced under warranty. :assflash:
So much fuss and palaver for just a battery :bash:
All lights have been cleared except the abs one, so a new sensor has been ordered and will land this morning :bigwave:
As soon as that is fitted she will go for an mot.............I do not anticipate failure :assflash:
So this afternoon I can scare everyone and go topless (that is as soon as I have got a tax disc)
