Well...really pleased with the Conti TS830p's fitted on my winter wheels :notworthy:

Just come back from a trip to Snowdonia National Park photographing military jets in the snow and the RS climbed up some snow covered mountain roads with ease. The traction control didn't even intervene up some pretty steep inclines.

I assumed from the quality that this was a professional shoot. Sam, where you just snapping for your own enjoyment? If so, I completedly agree, you have serious skills. Any more shots from the day?

Thanks Nick :thumb:

Yes it's a hobby I enjoy doing and blame watching Top Gun too many times as youngster. I'm not a pro photographer but have had some work published in magazines before.

Ian & Marc if you liked that one then are plenty more here in this link, if you scroll past the Porsche images - https://www.flickr.com/photos/surreysam/

Couple more to whet the appetite:

Stunning shot Sam, how did you achieve it if you don't mind me asking, were you flying along side or stood on the side of the Valley ??

Thank you very much. I'd love to have taken these images from another aircraft, alas I'm just stood on the side of a big hill with a large camera lens in hand. The RAF have Low Flying Areas and some of the valleys within these areas are utilised for low level training purposes and transiting between other areas. You've just got to be there at the right moment. It's a bit like fishing - long waits in beautiful scenery for a brief moment of excitement.

Wow Sam, thanks for posting the album. All of the pictures are absolutely amazing, including the wildlife and 3.2 Supersport (my dad used to have a blue one, coupe (if that's the right term for a porker) not the targa)).

My Dad used to go upto Angelsey once a month and he would see the boys from RAF Valley training through the mountain side, some talented pilots.
Isn't there a member on here that's a pilot up that neck of the woods, maybe you could ask him about when and where they would be flying, may help you get some more awesome pics.

Some awesome pictures there sam. I live in North Wales and pop up to snowdon and the surrounding area when I get chance. Which seems to be few and far between now with kids and work.

I have seen the aircraft flying through the valleys and they're not hanging about when they come past. To capture pictures of that quality takes some doing.

Very happy how this thread is progressing. I'm wishing that a submariner would pop in with OC of his sub breaching ice or summit.

What kind of silver is that? Remember, avus is the fastest colour.
