That's suprises me, he must have done you a favour if he's really good, the bloke I use is normally fully booked up for 4 months before you can get the job done

I went for a long Sunday drive the weekend, it was very cold, wet and a bit icy but the tyres were superb. A lot more fun than sticky summer tyres mid-summer.
For some reason though two 335d's (one touring) and a 535i '11 plate wanted to take a run at me various points during the journey, why?! I entertained myself watching them shrink in my rear-vision mirrors. Silly Beemer boys.

On a separate note, those rear discs always bring a smile when I see them up close....they're fooken HUGE! :D

My winter setup, Standard Vreds on 20's, no problem driving through this:

RS4 B7, Mugello Blue, K&W V3 & HR ARBs, set up by Centre Gravity, Milltek Valved Non Res & cat bypass pipes, BMC air filter, braided hoses, DOT 5.1, Terraclean, MRC Full Carbon Clean, MRC remap 448PS 477NM, 20" S7 alloys with 4mm spacers & Hawke spigots 66.6 > 57.1, AP Racing front discs. Sold Sept 2019. Now rocking an F80 M3

With you on that. Had to leave a lot of distance and not go too fast and use a mix of gears and braking.
Winter tyres for sure next year.
I was in Montreal a couple of years ago with work in Jan in heavy snow and major cold. Went out with the chaps for lunch in their cars with winter tyres and was simply amazed at the handling, cornering and braking
