I can top that with my first car

Talbot Solara ( you could see the tarmac through the sills and I got rid when the driverside floor fell out )
Vauxhall Nova 1.4 SR ( I wish, it was actually a 1200 with hammerited black lowerhalves to looke like an SR )
Fiesta 1100L ( now the L meant Luxury dont you know )
Escort 1300L ( ooh yes went down the Lux rute again, spoilin mesell )
1973 Opel Manta 1.9SR rallye - ( a treat when I got rid of the old boiler and wanted to look all retro, still have her )
Escort 1.8 diesel - ( yes it had no turbo, the trick was to keep the momentum going and make your journey non stop )
VW Jetta 1.6TX - ( why VW thought a TX badge would make it faster I dont know, dropped it to the floor and scrapped it when I collided with a Mercedes ML 4x4 on the motorway, and yes I did sh#t myself )
Mondeo 2.0Si - quick car until the water pump failed on the motorway p#ssing water out and at the same time the temperature gauge on the dash failed so the first indication I got was massive cloud of smoke/steam/oil behind me and a lot of annoyed motorists who were behind me
Sierra 1.6L ( oooo theres that L again ) why did ford put a 1.6 pinto in a car made in 1991 ?
Sierra XR 4x4 the most immaculate one owner Sierra I have ever seen, got all romantic and sold it back to its first owner when his son begged me to sell it back
E36 BMW M3 this car had 225,000 miles on the clock and still kept going, head gasket went and I drove it for 5,000 miles and then sold it to a drifter ( the japanese kind not the smells like wee kind )
Sierra 2.0 ghia 4x4 estate ( first of the estates ) full cossie leather and other bits but smoked like Bob Marley and smelled like the exon valdeze, now on my drive halfway through a Granada cosworth engine conversion / halfway to being scrapped.
Sierra 2.9 ghia 4x4 estate ( first of the faster estates ) 23 years old with a straight through 4" stainless system that is so loud you cant hear the stereo, there no heaters so you keep awake on long winter journeys and the dash vibrates wildly at 100mph HARDCORE DRIVING :rocker:

Now Ive bought the B6 its all a bit boring, no break downs or whining missus. No rattles and bangs to help your concentration and heat and cold whenever you want it

All in regular use apart from the Escort.

The Mini is not road legal, even if it was it is too stiff and noisy to use on the road.

The Mrs uses the S3 and the BMW but, does not drive the RS4 although she is insured to.

Fair enough Paul! I'm the same as you with the RS4...the wife's insured to drive it but doesn't want to as she "doesn't like big cars"...which is a bit of a result for me!

Is your S3 a mk 1 (8L) or mk 2 (8P)? I had an 8L and absolutely loved it - a great fun car!

Facelift 8L it is a personal import in the days before the Euro, saved over eight grand.
