M3
Re: M3
Must admit that is the one weakness that you think BMW would have sorted on a £60K car. Still think they could have had a more hardcore version without the rear seats, windup windows, no luxuries!!!

Re: M3
Hmmmm i not so sure about that Cant remember ever seeing a BMW winning the pikes peak or any international rally The M3 is a great car but to say its "dynamically superior" is a little off
Cheers

Re: M3
Thats right John, you have to make your own mind up and I know you know what you like (as well as knowing what you don't like ).
I would say that the M3 /CSL brakes while apparently weak (single pot calipers) did perform well for me at Oulton Park with the Pagid Yellows in. No fade or smoking. The Porsche brakes at Castle Combe were billowing with smoke after a hard session.
Not sure why this was the case because the design is significantly inferior to that of the Movits /Porsche.
Otherwise I'd just say that having lived with the M3 for almost 6 months that it is a most enjoyable driving experience. Sure its bling (which BTW is a plus for some and a minus for others) and more common that the RS's but what else is available for the money?
