MILLTEK OR STANDARD???

So I’ve been doing some thinking of going from standard to MILLTEK. However I DONT want a monstrous boy racer sounding car just something a bit throatier maybe.

Any suggestions?

Chunky79. Had a full miltek on mine when I bought it. Too loud for me. The previous owner had the original and we stopped them over. Pleased we did now much quieter and my neighbours are much happier.

Was it resonated or non res that you had on Steve? I've got resonated on mine and it's not loud, just a really nice deep sound.

Sorry mate I don’t know. It was very loud and could hear it a mile away. Much better with the original imvho. Quiet but with a very low rumble.
I prefer it and so does my neighbours

Depends whether you wanted it as a general question or for a specific car. You initila post made it sound like you wanted opinions on your actual car, not a general chat about exhausts.
The answer depends on which car so no I don't want the VIN number but the model might have been useful.

B7 RS4; no, do a resonator delete instead
C7 RS6; yes sounds great but many people prefer the Akra
8P RS3; with a sports exhaust no, without sports exhaust maybe or fit a sports exhaust instead
B8 RS4 & RS5; see B7 answer

I could go on but hopefully I've made my point.

Got a full miltek system on my B7 RS4 and I think it sounds great.
Can be loud when you boot it, but generally, with a light right foot it's perfectly civilised.

My only criticism would be that it can be a bit drony (i.e. monotone) when cruising between 2,00 and 3,000 RPM.

Edited to add.. the Miltek was on the car when I bought it so I can't personally comment on the standard Audi system.
