Assuming Plod were driving a Bmw 330 they do 155ish. Maybe the case that it were close to limit of the driver or close to shift end.
I love the smell of napalm in the morning....

I'd have to look at a larger screen but it may be a C5 saloon from the look of the tail lights. Am not surprised he got away as he's in a much more powerful petrol car compared to the Police diesel with loads of kit in the back. Police Class 1 Drivers are seriously good drivers though but also have to consider other road users-unlike a speeding criminal knobber who only wants to escape. Always amusing how calm they sound whilst doing Commentary as well.

I have looked at the start again and i stand corrected the mirrors and the lack of reflectors above the number plate confirm it an RS4
