Similar happened to my colleague when he sold an AMD tuned S3 to a dealer in Brum. As the dealer was about 150 miles away they sent a delivery driver to collect it. A few days later colleague gets a NIP for 78 in a 30. Turned out it was the youth they sent to collect the car giving it the berries a few miles from his destination. A simple signature on a form saying it had been traded in was all that was required. I think the lad at least had the balls to own up. Probably earned him bragging rights at his local for a while. And definitely earned him his P45.
