Speeding

Post by angryant » Thu Feb 11, 2016 1:32 pm

Anyone on here.
Traded to a main dealer October last year.
Maybe stolen of the forecourt.
Its a black RS5.
Throttle stuck open.
30mph signs had been knocked down.
What excuse would you come up with?

im confused, do you still own this? or did you indeed trade it in?

If the cars no longer yours then just inform the police that it was traded in!

If it was you then doing 110 in a 30 is going to end in a 12 month ban (minimum) and a LARGE fine

Traded in October last year.
Ive completed the reverse of the notification and posted it this morning.
Spoken with the dealer also. They wouldn't say if they still had it or if it had been sold.

Speeding

Post by Shinobi675 » Thu Feb 11, 2016 3:41 pm

Wow. I got stopped for 78 in a 40 (a4 in west London, large 3 lanes, I was on a motorbike), they had an m3 by them where the guy was caught at 110. They banged him up. So 110 in a 30... Wow!

I'm subscribed :) we may need a "save the angry ant 1" campaign

If they do catch up with the driver 110mph in a 30mph zone qualifies for prison, a criminal record and headlines in the red tops I would have thought.

Right i see, well thats you off the hook.. i'd be interested to see the "photo evidence" chances are its the dealers taking the car out... i've seen it done many times.
Who was the dealer you traded it into?

Cant see it being stolen as you wouldnt have gotten a letter it would have been reported stolen... might be worth a call to the cop shop and see if it has been reported stolen or anything?

I thought you were going to say "110 in a 30 is just normal" for Bradford!

I did the same, they also ask a few other questions like were you the driver, name and address, so I chickened out.

I'll wait for the knock on the door then!

I have a pretty good excuse though - I've just had a rather major op on my head so unless I was that high on morphine that I don't remember doing it then I should be ok for an alibi !
