Yet More Audi's Stolen

Post by NJMAudiRS4 » Wed Aug 27, 2014 8:52 pm

An Audi RS6 (C5) & an A4 were stolen Monday night from a garage called DS Motorsport in Coventry (I have no affiliation with this company, my wife's cousin is a friend of the owner)

RS6 reg : M16 FOO
A4 : YP03 YDM

Apparently there have been 18 Audi's stolen in the past week from the Coventry area including an RS4.
An Audi A6 was also used in a robbery in Birmingham using false plates

Keys should have been in a safe! Far too many cars go walkies from garages....

Interestingly (to me at least), there was a similar story in Belfast the year before last. Loads of Audis nicked, including my friend's vanilla spec B8 TDI. I couldn't understand it - he lived at the furthest corner of a housing development and they must've passed a dozen better cars before they got to his. He was told they were probably broken down and the parts sold.

Been a spate of thefts and breakins here in Melbourne too, seems that Audis are popular with low life bottom feeding thieves

I posted about the spate of Audi thefts in The Coventry / Warwickshire area a few weeks and was kind of shot down for it.

All of the ones that have been taken (as far as I am aware) have been B8 variants / 2013 onwards - all stolen WITHOUT their keys, which indicates they are bypassing the Keyless entry system somehow. There was an incident about 10 days ago where a guy was followed home in his S4 by some scroats in an older Grey Audi saloon (I am presuming an A4, but this wasn't confirmed) - they got out with baseball bats but he managed to get inside the house. Obviously the theft from the garage may be involving the keys being taken to, but the majority are without keys....

Red RS5 and a blue S5 stolen from the showroom at Aberdeen Audi on Friday night. Seemingly one of the big windows seen boarded up the next day. No sign as yet.
