To be fair, this didn't start as a car thread and it's in the general section (granted, General car chat but it's was started in the wrong section) . The complaints I have seen on this forum are when people are saying that things have gone off track and not about cars, this didn't start about cars ( neither did the deleted thread). I understand you don't want "fighting talk" on the forum, but guys are guys/ (girls are girls).
Japseye got caught out by the looks of it then regretted starting something he couldn't finish.

It's all very well saying things should stay on topic and only sensible comments should be posted, sadly not much would be posted.
This is a fantastic forum, some VERY helpful and knowledgeable folks and also some VERY funny ones. You do a great job of letting the forum moderate itself and tis a shame you have to sort some stuff out, but I can't see how it will change.

This forum is a load of BOLLOCKS its like a club for a couple of people, their sidekicks and some wannabes. Thats why more and more people are not using it and lots of the sections are stale.Thats me done on here im off.

FFS, some people just can't leave thing alone even when the owner of the site asks them to, so that just confirms they have no respect what so ever and are not worthy of a reply.

Regardless of where the thread was started the site rules are there for all but some just show disregard for everything and spoil it for others.

I for one won't be put off by them as the site has some decent folk and interesting/informative posts but maybe more moderators/administrators are required

PhilT, please advise me or others how to proceed as this is your site and your rules

This place is open to all with a sense of humour and don't take an Internet forum too seriously. It's welcoming to everyone, but not people who get their knickers in a twist and try to intimate and threaten they want to meet people in person (for what other reason?) only to back track so massively they are falling over their hells.
But there are no grudges held, so just get over it and move on and every member will be fine.

Dam I recon wen Badmans could be accepted back if he followed a rule 1, gave a few FONs and accepted abit of banter without threatening people!

Never said the site was not open to all and fully understand humorous comments but no need for offensive comments as others started and which is against the site rules.

No threats were ever made, a failed meeting was never had despite best efforts and no back tracking was taken by me.

I respect the site, the rules and others but when there is a lack of respect shown to me by others then I react either correctly or not.

PhilT's salvo was directed at everyone in this thread, including you, it takes two to tango so get off your high horse.
Just remember, this was done and dusted with the thread deleted but you dug it up again, this is on you. Stop looking to the rules and take ownership. Even when given the chance to bow out graceful, you couldn't even write two simple words.

There's lots posted that I don't like, I either post or don't post a reply. Surely that's easy to do. If you reply and someone replies to you then so be it, get over it.
