Back in the room-this time with a Unicorn

For those with long memories I briefly had a C7 early 2017. Regrettably had to let it go as I couldn’t justify the outlay at the time. So I never really got it out of my system-last year I considered it but went for a B9 RS5 which whilst being amazing in its own right wasn’t ‘raw’ enough-too smooth for its own good is the B9. So I still listed after a C7.
Some weeks ago I got PM’d by forum member Holt2498 with a proposition on his very special C7. He’d not had it long but an opportunity to own another great car had come his way-would I be interested in his?
To those that don’t know his (now my) C7 was in a very select club. Nov 2015 build and up until early this year it was the property of Audi as a ‘Heritage Car’. In March this year it had done all of a massive 945 miles!
I wanted a PE ideally and with pano roof and adaptive cruise but I couldn’t ignore this one.
During his brief ownership he’s been busy if you followed his threads and put on brand new 22’’ C8 alloys and MP4S tyres. Transforms the look of the car. His attention to detail is impressive and a credit to him. A true enthusiast.
I also purchased his original 20’’ alloys which will be for winter tyres (recommendations welcomed please) with spacers.
As the photos show the car is unmarked. Literally not a mark anywhere. The original alloys are spotless and come with P Zeros with 6.5mm tread on them.
Has to be one of the lowest mileage C7’s in the UK I reckon. It’s almost 6 years old and the current mileage is 3369 miles. I honestly can’t remember seeing a car with mileage this low. Essentially I have an almost new car that happens to be 6 years old. Mind blowing and I’m a seriously happy camper.
So-what’s next? Well I want to get Apple Car Play/ Audi Smartphone Interface retro fitted. Hazzydayz do this unless someone can recommend a fitter in the Cambs or even Suffolk area?
Want to get the rear windows tinted and also the chrome wrapped in black. Audi rings and RS6 badges blacked out also.
Wing mirrors in carbon or similar.
PPF across the front. First mark on this car will make me cry it’s so clean.
Depending on how I get on with the exhaust I ‘may’ consider getting a Milltek or similar on. The biggest gripe people have with the B9 chassis is lack of sound. It’s no V8 clearly-hence why I’m back in a C7.
Couple of Q’s:
The service advisory says next service in 20 days or 7000 miles. Should I just get it done or wait for a few extra k on the clock?
The grille is the non ‘Quattro’ badged one-didn’t know you could get one without it but mine is plain. Unsure if I’ll change it or not (my first C7 had it)
Wrapping/car tints etc. Any recommendations?
My biggest issue is going to be keeping the miles down! Luckily I have 2 other cars so it won’t be my daily. I never keep my cars beyond 1-2 years mostly and having insanely low miles plus the pedigree of coming from Audi’s own Heritage Collection will help it retain its value.
Anyhow I’ve rattled on for long enough.
Here’s the car!!

Hi Stevo55,

Great to see such a beautiful machine again, I can only say “my loss and your gain” when you were driving away it left a lump in my throat and a tear in my eye.

Those 10.5” wide alloys really do fill every bit of the arches and it makes the rear look very, very intimidating.

I am very pleased though, that it went to a fellow enthusiast who is a very pleasant, courteous chap and someone who I’m sure will cherish and appreciate.

All the best

Thanks mate and the car is a real testament to your attention to detail.
I’ll be taking good care of her-feels like a Patek Phillipe…you don’t own it you look after it for the next owner.

Yep-something about an RS6 that’s very hard to shake off.
Best all round cars bar none.

Congrats to you on the new car, and a salute to the previous owner for having cherished it so well.

Hope you enjoy it, and the C8 alloys really do look great. Lovely colour that red.

all done mate-having to delete a few older ones as I'm running out of room.
