Evening guys.....

Recently got my 2018 performance.... do I get a tracker or a ghost system and do you know if they void manufacturers warranty?

I have a Vodafone Protect and Connect 6 - I know that doesn't void the warranty. App controlled and can have geo-fencing set up on it plus a number of other things....

I have ghost and have had no problems whatsoever. I’ve also had warranty work carried out and no questions were asked about the system.

Yeah I went for Ghost2 I don’t think Autowatch do the original anymore. It’s just remaining stocks of 1 that are left making it £50 or so cheaper.

I would also suggest beefing up physical deterrents like a bollard and steering wheel locks.

Ghost is really good, suited everything I wanted. No extra key fob and activates itself.
No issues warranty wise, only advise is chose you installer carefully as I recon customer service with AutoWatch directly is limited.
Brilliant, not perfect, but cheap and effective

I have both Vodafone S5 and ghost. The Audi dealer had fitted the S5 for the previous owner and fitted the ghost2 for me so no issues for warranty.

When I spoke to Audi today, they couldn’t confirm re warranty so I have emailed them.

Re the S5. The guy at the dealer mentioned it. £750 inc VaT

Thanks for the info. I think it would only be turned down for something CanBus related and even then it would have to be linked directly into the loom the ghost is wired into. And for me the pro v con of not having it or ghost being in a part of the system that would void a claim sits heavily in the pro ghost camp.

Have ghost on mine and i do like the peace of mind, especially knowing they can't clone the key through the letterbox as I have keyless.

Ghost is the one. A bit annoying if you get in and out a lot during the day though. Great for piece of mind though
